We are very excited to announce that a Red Med Disposal Box is now available in the Lobby of the Community Center (2025 E. Clark Rd. Ypsilanti, MI 48198).
Ypsilanti Township and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office have installed a dedicated permanent medication collection box that provides residents with safe and convenient access to properly dispose of their unused over the counter and prescription medications!
The Box ACCEPTS:
- Expired and unused medication
- Over-the-counter medication
- Medication samples
- Pet medications
- Medicated ointments/lotions/drops
- Unopened epi-pens
The Box DOES NOT accept:
- Needles/lancets/syringes
- Inhalers
- Thermometers
- Aerosol cans
- Personal care products
- Used epi-pens
- Bloody or infectious waste
- Business waste
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Empty containers
- Electronic devices (diabetes testers, etc.)
- IV bags
