You can save a life!
What is Naloxone?
Naloxone can quickly and safely reverse the potentially fatal effects of an opioid overdose. Naloxone kits can be used in an emergency to save a life. Death from an opioid overdose happens when too much of the drug overwhelms the brain and interrupts the body’s natural drive to breath. Community distribution programs are one way to increase the chances that someone with an opioid addiction can avoid a fatal overdose and receive emergency treatment.
