Ypsilanti Township Board of Trustees and the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) have come together to offer Ypsilanti Township Residents a rebate program for water bill assistance to help those who might qualify for financial support.
Qualifications
All must be met to be approved for the program:
1. Home must be in Ypsilanti Township and owner must live in the home.
2. Household Income must be within Michigan State Guidelines. (See current Income Limits – Poverty Exemptions).
3. Proof of Income for all occupants of the home.
(Examples: a COPY of one of these - recent income tax statement, a Social Security statement, or a Homestead Property tax credit 1040CR form.)
4. If an occupant of your home is not employed, but has income from another source, you must show their income.
5. Renters and/or mobile home owners are NOT eligible for program.
Open Enrollment
Applications must be turned in between August 1st and November 30th of the current year to be approved for the next year’s (January – December) program.
Once the application is reviewed and approved, the total rebate amount of $20 will be applied to your bi-monthly YCUA invoice for one full year. This will start with your first billing cycle beginning January of the following year. You must re-apply each year to be approved.
*The $20 rebate cannot be applied to any past due balances. PLEASE NOTE: This rebate does NOT pertain to any COVID-19 relief programs.*

Make sure to sign the application.
Applications that are incomplete or without the required proof of income documents may not be eligible for the rebate.
You can return the application and proof of income by mailing it to:

Or you can put the application and proof of income in an envelope addressed to “Supervisor’s Office” and place it in the gray dropbox in front of the Civic Center (7200 S. Huron River Drive).
