How to Register to Vote in Michigan

Find out if you are registered to vote, find your voting location, get a sample ballot, or track your ballot or ballot request: michigan.gov/vote.

 

Township residents can register to vote in person at the Township Clerk's Office. Voter registration is also accepted at any Secretary of State Branch Office, the Washtenaw County Clerk's Office, designated state agencies such as Family Independence Agencies or military branch offices, and now online as well.

Township residents who have moved within the Township of Ypsilanti can update their address at any Secretary of State Branch Office, online at ExpressSOS.org or in person at the Township Clerk's Office.

Register to Vote Online

Online Voter Registration is now available! The responsive website design can be used on any computer, tablet, or smart phone. Additional features will be added in 2020.

Residents across the state can take advantage of this convenient way of registering to vote. Current voters can easily change their address using this website.

Online registrants must have a current Michigan Driver’s License or Personal Identification Card and qualify to vote in the state of Michigan (i.e., citizen, age, residency).
