If you would like proof of acceptance for your stamped document, please provide us with an additional copy of the document and a self-addressed envelope and we will send the stamped copy back to you via postal mail.

Ypsilanti Township will continue these processes and all our essential functions as we work to reintegrate staff and resume the normal functions of the Assessment Department. Ypsilanti Township appreciates your patience as we all navigate through these difficult times. If you have any questions regarding these procedures, or any other assessment related issue, please contact our office at: (734) 487-4927.

The Township Assessing Department has an ongoing review program of all properties in the Township. The purpose of the program is to ensure the accuracy of our property record system. During the summer months, staff appraisers from the Assessor’s Office will be in various neighborhoods within Ypsilanti Township taking pictures and verifying property information. This review is necessary to meet State Tax Commission requirements for the Property Record System.

The staff doing the review will visit every property in the Township and, if possible, speak with the owner of the property. The staff will be driving an Ypsilanti Township marked vehicle, have an Ypsilanti Township photo id card and will be wearing an Ypsilanti Township polo shirt.

You may receive this information from your neighorhood community engagement group. If you have any questions regarding this program, please call the Assessing Office at (734) 487-4927.
