Assessing Update

Although Ypsilanti Township is open to the public and residents are welcome to come into the Township, for the safety of our residents and continued protection of our workers, Ypsilanti Township Assessing Department will maintain procedures for accepting your Property Transfer Affidavit, Principal Residence Exemption and Rescission of the Principal Residence Exemption through the following methods:

- Mail them to our office:

- Drop box outside the Civic Center located at the front of the building by the flag pole (checked daily)
- Email to the Assessing Department at

If you would like proof of acceptance for your stamped document, please provide us with an additional copy of the document and a self-addressed envelope and we will send the stamped copy back to you via postal mail.

Ypsilanti Township will continue these processes and all our essential functions as we work to reintegrate staff and resume the normal functions of the Assessment Department. Ypsilanti Township appreciates your patience as we all navigate through these difficult times. The official record for permits are at the Ypsilanti Charter Township Office of Community Standards. Payments made for delinquent taxes are not reflected on this website. To determine if a payment has been made after the current collection period, contact the Washtenaw County Treasurer.

To search for tax information, special assessment, and open invoice payoff information:

  • Click on the PROPERTY SEARCH tab below our Township’s logo.
  • On the next screen, click on the Blue Link in the PROPERTY SEARCH BOX below the terms & conditions. This will open a search screen.

To search an address or parcel number:

  • Type in the Address (or parcel # if you use the drop down arrow) in the search field and click search.
  • Double Click on the property that appears in BLUE to open the property information window.
  • The Tax Information tab will show the taxable and SEV values, as well as amounts and dates paid for any given season. Click on a particular season to will reveal the breakdown shown on the bill.
    • Please Note: If this is a residence and your parcel # begins K-11- and you have unpaid property tax, see the Washtenaw County Website for an updated amount due.

To search open invoices:

The Building Department tab will show amounts of any open invoices the property.
