Ryan Hunter is a proud Ypsilanti Township resident, and graduate of Eastern Michigan University. He possesses over a decade of experience working in local news reporting, federal government, and non-profit work. Notably, Ryan worked for Congresswoman Debbie Dingell as her Senior Field Representative. With Representative Dingell, Ryan provided a wide array of continent services, and engaged with organizations such as the local chapters of the Kiwanis Club, NAACP, and A2Y Chamber of Commerce. Also, Ryan would regularly attend community functions where Congresswoman Dingell was unable to participate.
Since 2019, Ryan has served Ypsilanti Township by serving as representative on the Ann Arbor Area Transit Authority Board of Directors and ensuring high-quality transit services continue to be accessible to everyone. All of these experiences combined are what led Ryan to seek appointment on the Ypsilanti Township Board of Trustees. Now a member, Ryan plans to bring these skills, relationships, and resources to better serve our community and continue making our Township thrive.
