How to Make a Tax Payment

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you will notice changes to the Township Treasurer's Office. The following are changes that have been made for your safety and the safety of others.

- We ask that you utilize making payments by mail, online, or place in our drop box located in the parking lot in front of the township.
- Please limit the use of cash and that you prepare your checks before you enter the office. Call us at (734) 484-1002 if you have questions regarding an amount.
- If you need or want a receipt, please provide us with your email address or address and one will be mailed.
- If it is necessary to enter the building, we ask that all visitors wear a face mask and follow the 6-foot social distancing requirement by following the markings as to where to stand and walk through the Civic Center.

2020 Winter Taxes will be mailed out the week of Sunday, November 29, 2020, and are due by Tuesday, February 16, 2021. All payments received or postmarked from Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - Monday, March 1, 2021 will incur a 3% penalty. We will accept tax payments through the end of business day on Monday, March 1, 2021. Beginning Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Township taxes for real property will be transferred to the Washtenaw County Treasurers Office.

Payment Options

DropboxBy Mail: Send top portion of bill, along with a check payable to Ypsilanti Township to 7200 S. Huron River Dr. Ypsilanti, Mi 48197. No late postmarks will be accepted.

All payments received or postmarked from Wednesday, February 17, 2021 – Monday, March 1, 2021 will incur a 3% penalty.

In Person: Cash or check (made out to: "Ypsilanti Township"). Credit Card payments are accepted with a 3% processing fee added. Tilden R. Stumbo Civic Center Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (Closed 12:00pm - 1:00pm daily).

Please be aware that the Civic Center offices will be CLOSED for the holidays Thursday, December 24, 2020 - Friday, January 1, 2021. The building will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 8:30am - 4:30pm (closed 12:00pm - 1:00pm for lunch daily). Civic Center offices are also CLOSED on Monday, January 18, 2021 and Monday, February 15, 2021.

At Bank (full payments ONLY): Washtenaw Federal Credit Union (1861 Whittaker Road) and any Ypsilanti Branch of Bank of Ann Arbor. No partial payments will be accepted and you must also provide the top portion of your tax bill when paying at either of these financial institutions.

Drive-Up Drop Box (checks ONLY, NO CASH): Located in the parking lot of the Tilden R. Stumbo Civic Center.

Online: Provide the property number on the front of the tax bill. Credit/Debit cards are accepted (Visa, MC, Discover, and American Express) with a 3% convenience fee added based on the amount of your bill. You can also use a checking account routing number and account number for a flat $3 fee.

Enter your Last Name, Address, or Parcel Number > Click Search > Double click on your property > Click on 'Pay Tax Bill Now' on the right > Make sure the correct season is in the box > Select 'Pay Now'
