Applications/Resumes are being accepted to fill the position of Deputy Court Clerk within the 14-B District Court. Duties include a variety of clerical tasks involved in the processing of civil, criminal and/or traffic cases. Qualified candidates will be tested to validate skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.

Applicants must:

  • Have high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years office experience
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be able to handle monetary transactions including providing correct change
  • Have attention to detail with the highest degree of accuracy
  • Be able to pass the testing requirements to become a certified LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) operator within 90 days from date of hire

Maintain building mechanical equipment. Perform repair, renovation and new construction in Township buildings and grounds. Assists with mechanical repair of equipment, machinery and vehicles as needed.
Essential Functions, Qualifications and KSA’s for Employment - The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations.

  • Graduation from High School supplemented with technical training/experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry, and three years of building mechanical maintenance or in the skilled trades.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of electricity, plumbing, heating and cooling, carpentry, drywall, painting, and locksmithing.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures/precautions involved in public works projects and in the repair of mechanical equipment, and the operation of power tools and vehicles.
  • Analytical ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures to determine problematical cause and find alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Travel expected with this position so employee is required to possess a valid driver license and maintain a good driving record Michigan Driver License with CDL Type A, with air brakes, preferred.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified applicant to serve as the part-time Hydro Operator. Position would be responsible for operating the Powerhouse and Hydro Dam within safe practices and guidelines.

• Be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays

• Have basic computer skills.
• Have ability to climb stairs and ladders while lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in elevated and confined spaces.
• Be able to work on uneven terrain.
• Have knowledge of hand and power tools.

• Possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License with a good driving history.
• Must have reliable transportation.
