50 & Beyond Program Bus Driver - Posted 10/7/2021

Seeking bus driver to transport participants to and from the Charter Township of Ypsilanti Community Center on various outings, and to ensure the safety of the passengers while in a Township vehicle. This position works under the direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. An employee in this position may do any or all of the following essential duties. (These examples do not include all of the duties the employee maybe expected to perform.)

  • Drive Charter Township of Ypsilanti bus within prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging participants at designated stop(s).
  • May operate wheelchair life; load and unload participants in wheelchairs on and off bus, inspecting wheelchair lift for operational safety; position and secure wheelchair in bus.
  • Transport participants and chaperone on field trips to various locations; planning necessary route(s) and stops as needed.
  • Conduct safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle and report needed mechanical repairs when necessary.
  • Service bus with diesel fuel; check and, when necessary, fill tires.
  • Perform periodical safety and completes necessary reports upon request.
  • Wash bus and maintain cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition.
  • Complete periodic mileage and other reports as needed.
  • Attend various meetings regarding safety, first aid, and training updates as required.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Essential Functions, Qualifications, and KSA’s for Employment
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations.

• Possess and maintain a valid and appropriate Michigan Commercial Driver’s License meeting all state regulations. Ability to maintain State required medical card.
• Possession of a safe driving record
• Knowledge of safe drive practices
• Ability to read and write at a level necessary to successfully perform the required duties
• Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner
• Ability to drive a bus safely and efficiently
• Ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while driving
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with supervisors and participants in the performance of required duties.
• Must pass required drug screening
• 21 years of age or older

Seeking enthusiastic applicant to serve under the general supervision of the Director of Golf, assisting in daily management of Green Oaks Golf Course. Assist with marketing and promoting the golf course through social media awareness and other various platforms.

Essential Functions, Qualifications and KSA’s for Employment

• Knowledge of the game of golf preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of purchasing, merchandising marketing and inventory control.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and the ability to effectively schedule, direct and supervise the work of others.

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and internal controls.
• Ability to work flexible hours and on weekends.
• Preferred course work in business management, recreational facilities management or the equivalent training in golf course management.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Mechanical Inspector - Posted 9/20/2021

Perform technical and specialized work involved in the inspection of Mechanical installations to insure compliance with existing regulations, ordinances and codes. Review requests for permits in accordance with established standards. Prepare records and reports, issue and register permits to Mechanical contractors. Perform related work as required.
