Community Engagement Coordinator - Posted 10/14/20

Perform work related to the promotion and implementation of a variety of community engagement programs and activities. Attend scheduled neighborhood watch meetings, prepare notes about meetings, and follow up on complaints, concerns and proactive ideas received from residents and businesses. Network with community leaders and groups to exchange information and maintain a safe community for all. Assist with social media communications as needed.

Essential Functions, Qualifications and KSA’s for Employment
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations.

• Knowledge of Township geography and demographics.
• Skill to speak in public to groups of various sizes and backgrounds.
• Skill to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in person and on the telephone.
• Interpersonal skill to develop and maintain effective working relationships with community and business groups, officials, co-workers and the general public.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work variable work schedule including days, evenings and weekends.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan drivers’ license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or related field preferred.
• Experience with social media marketing.

Job Description

Salary: $53,000 - $55,000 DOQ
