Economic DevelopmentYpsilanti Township’s Economic Development Department is here to help businesses and entrepreneurs. All types of businesses, from retail and service‐oriented businesses to primary employers, are important to the economic vitality of the Township.

Ypsilanti Township Economic Development department can assist with business or development needs, by connecting you to the right resource. In addition to the Township, there are a number of organizations in Southeast Michigan that support economic development and provide assistance to businesses. Our partners provide programs designed to increase investment that contributes to economic growth, but also at increasing the overall quality of life for all residents of the community.

Industrial and High Tech Building and Expansion

The Industrial property tax abatement (PA 198 of 1974) provides tax incentives for businesses to build new plants, expand existing plants, renovate aging plants, or add new machinery and equipment.
