Logo Nexus Gas TransmissionAdditional pipeline transportation infrastructure is needed in Ohio, Michigan and Ontario, Canada to support the growing demand for clean-burning natural gas and to offset the decline in traditional western Canadian supplies.

To meet this need, Nexus Gas Transmission (NEXUS) proposes to construct an approximately 255-mile interstate natural gas transmission pipeline to deliver 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of clean-burning natural gas from receipt points in eastern Ohio to existing pipeline system interconnects in southeastern Michigan.

YTown LogoMichigan developer S.R. Jacobson has petitioned the Township Planning Commission and Township Board to amend the previously approved Lakewood Farms Planned Development (PD14) to allow for a revised mix of residential units. The proposed plan calls for the overall reduction in the number of multi-family units and increases the overall number of single-family residential units aligning with the goals of the Township's overall Master Plan. Overall the total number of residential units is proposed to be reduced from 415 to 392 total units. Due to this change in the approved mix of residential uses, the project and requested changes are carefully being considered by the Township Planning Commission and Township Board.

September 16: The project now moves to the Final Engineering phase of the review process prior to going through a final site plan or PD Stage II review and approval.

Any additional questions or comments may be directed to the Township Planning Department (734) 485 - 3943.
