Logo YtownA special election will be held in the precincts of Ypsilanti Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 to elect the following:

Ypsilanti Township Park Commissioner Member
Partial term ending November 20, 2020

 

This special election has been called pursuant to MCL 168.370.

Not later than 4:00pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 the county party committee for each political party in the county shall submit a nominee to the Washtenaw County Clerk to fill the vacancy. Nominees will appear on the May 8, 2018 special election ballot.

Candidates without party affiliation who wish to appear on the special election ballot must file City/Township Qualifying petitions at the Washtenaw County Clerk by 4:00pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Qualifying petitions must bear the signature of 300 – 600 electors in Ypsilanti Township.

All candidates must be qualified electors in Ypsilanti Township.

 

Election & Voting Information

If you are NOT registered to vote, you must do so 30 days prior to an election. You can register to vote or make your voter registration change either at the Clerk's Office or any Michigan Secretary of State branch office.
