Brush must be placed at the curb in front of your home by 6:00am on collection day, no earlier than 6:00pm on the day before and any remaining items must be removed by 6:00am on the day after collection. Brush must be placed to the edge of the public road with cut ends together and pointed towards the road. Your brush pile must not exceed 10' long, 4' high and 4' wide. Brush will not be collected in excessive amount and/or exceeding the 15-minute allowance per home, entire tree removal, contracted work, commercial business or brush from vacant land or other property.
If you live in one of the neighborhoods listed below, contact Residential Services to request pick-up 24 hours in advance.
These are newer neighborhoods and thus there are typically not a lot of trees.

Acceptable items: Tree limbs must be 2" - 6" in diameter and not to exceed 10' in length. Brush piles can not exceed 10' long, 4' high and 4' wide. Smaller than 2" in diameter will not be collected (See Yard Waste).
Residents of residential dwellings in Ypsilanti Township may dispose of brush/branches (free of charge within size limit of less than 1' in diameter) at the Ypsilanti Township Compost Site.
Unacceptable items: No dirt, fruit, stumps, trash, thorns, vines or poison ivy entwined into the pile; no trunks larger than 6" in diameter and not to exceed 10' in length or limbs smaller than 2" in diameter will not be collected (See Yard Waste).
