Consolidated Precincts for Special Election
The township is condensing some of its precinct locations for the May 6, 2014 vote on the AAATA millage question.
Clerk Karen Lovejoy Roe reported to the Board of Trustees March 18, 2014 about the changes she has made in preparation for the upcoming election. The changes are for this election only.
"This time we will be going to the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan," she said. "We are really excited moving to a new location for several of the precincts."
Registered voters should have received a card in the mail notifying them of the changes.
The following precincts have been consolidated:
- Precincts 2 and 3 will be at the Polo Fields of Washtenaw;
- Precincts 5 and 6 will be at the Community Center;
- Precincts 9 and 10 will be at Erickson School;
- Precincts 11 and 12 will be at Rawsonville School
- Precincts 13 and 15 at the Girl Scouts on James L. Hart Pkwy.
On May 6, 2014, voters in the city of Ann Arbor, the city of Ypsilanti and the township will be asked to approve a 0.7-mill request to fund expansion of services. The AAATA requested the election and will reimburse all entities for associated costs.
New precinct maps have come in and are available at the Civic Center. The changes were due to population growth in some precincts. The changes were approved in 2013. The maps have a list of streets for each precinct.
