Office of Community Standards
The Office of Community Standards (OCS) consists of the Building Department, Planning & Zoning Department, and Ordinance Department working together to uphold every aspect of community standards, abate public nuisances and correct zoning and land use issues. This department is responsible to verify safe compliance with codes that are designed to protect the public and ensure safe construction. OCS staff also provide support for Neighborhood Watch services for the more than 45 neighborhood based organizations.
The Office of Community Standards is overseen by Director Michael Radzik, who also serves as Director of Police Services.
The Building Department is led by Director Ron Fulton. Building inspectors are generally in the office for consultation or scheduling issues between 8:30am - 9:00am and 4:00pm - 4:30pm (or by appointment).
The Planning & Zoning Department is led by Director Joe Lawson. Joe also provides staff support and leadership for the Planning Commission.
