No one can avoid aging, but aging productively is something else. Visit the Ypsilanti Township Community Center today and our friendly staff will show you how to do just that! From our wonderful facility to the daily activities, we know that you will find something that interests you. Our program offers many physical fitness and social opportunities for adults 50+. As part of your membership you receive a monthly twelve page newsletter containing updates on programs, health information, classes, travel and special events. With over 1,000 active members we strive to offer something for everyone. From the world traveler to the casino lover, the card player to the walker, the yoga enthusiast to the line dancer, it’s all here for you. Take a look at one of the best kept secrets in our township.
We are located in the 200 wing of the Community Center where 50 & Beyond program staff are available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. A variety of programs in leisure, recreation, social, continued education, health and volunteer opportunities are offered on a daily basis. Over 3,000 people utilize our facility each month.
New members are always welcome! Yearly membership dues for Ypsilanti Township Residents are $12.00 for an individual and $20.00 for a household and are renewed each January. In addition to everything mentioned above, your membership entitles you to discounts on special events, free coffee daily, many free classes and activities, and the ability to travel with our group travel program.
Outreach & Referral Programs
We provide educational information and assistance in obtaining services from various agencies, businesses, social services, legal aid and other community based programs.

Nutritionally balanced meals are provided Monday - Friday at 12:00pm to persons 60+. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 per meal. This program is offered in cooperation with the Washtenaw County Human Services. Call before 12:00pm 48 hours in advance to reserve your lunch or stop by the senior wing to register.
Tax Return Services FOR SENIORS ONLY!
This program is offered in cooperation with the Tax Aid Program of Catholic Older Adult Social Services for seniors with a limited income. Free assistance will be provided in filling out Michigan’s tax credit forms (Homestead Property Tax and Home Heating) and simple state and federal tax returns. Forms will be provided at the time of the appointment. Appointments are required and can be made beginning in January 2015 by calling the center at (734) 544 - 3838. FOR SENIORS ONLY!
