Seeking a full-time energetic team player to lead and assist in the maintenance of Township grounds, parks and buildings. Directs and supervises a crew of seasonal maintenance workers determining proper personnel and equipment requirements needed for each job.
Applicants must have:
Graduation from High School or G.E.D.
Two years’ experience in building and grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of safety procedures/precautions involved in various public works projects and equipment operations.
Skill in the operation of vehicles, mechanical and power equipment and tools.
Leadership qualities including good attendance and work ethic.
Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL).
Within 60 days of appointment, must acquire State of Michigan pesticide certification, 3A & 3B.
Ability to perform physical labor involving lifting, and carrying objects up to 75 pounds while climbing, stooping and bending

Training and Experience:
Course work in business management, recreational facilities management or equivalent
Knowledge of purchasing, merchandise marketing and inventory control

Knowledge of the game of golf preferred but not required
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
Possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License with a good driving history.
