DTE Gas Company requests Michigan Public Service Commission approval to reconcile its gas cost recovery (GCR) costs and revenues for the 12 months ending March 31, 2017.

The Michigan Public Service Commission (Commission) will hold a public hearing to consider DTE Gas Company's (DTE Gas) June 28, 2017 application requesting approval to reconcile its GCR costs and revenues for the 12 month period from April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017. DTE Gas represents that; 1) for the twelve-month period ending March 31, 2017, its GCR customers' revenues of $421 million inclusive of Reservation Charge revenues, its GCR Cost of Gas Sold of $432 million inclusive of Reservation Charge revenues and expenses, $0.04 million of penalty and fee revenue, $0.5 million interest expense from 2016-2017 GCR, the roll-in of approximately $11 million under-recovery related to 2015-2016 GCR, combine to result in a net under-recovery of $12.3 million for GCR customers that was incurred through reasonable and prudent actions; and 2) for the twelve-month period ending March 31, 2016, the Company's Gas Customer Choice (GCC) customers' Reservation Charge revenues of $5 million, GCC customers' $6 million in reservation expense, the roll-in of approximately $0.7 million related to the GCC customers' 2015-2016 reconciliation, plus a minor amount of interest expense combine to result in a net GCC customer under-recovery of $1.5 million.

Any person wishing to intervene and become a party to the case shall electronically file a petition to intervene with this Commission by Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Any person wishing to appear at the hearing to make a statement of position without becoming a party to the case may participate by filing an appearance. To file an appearance, the individual must attend the hearing and advise the presiding administrative law judge of his or her wish to make a statement of position.
